In cooperation with the Hoher Fläming Nature Park and after instruction by the nature park manager Steffen Bohl, many kilos of copper beech seeds (from the Templin forest nursery) were planted in the mineral soil with a spade, hoe and rake on a state nature conservation area south of Görzke on March 23, 2024. The area is approx. 0.6 ha in size, was thinned, the soil broken up and fenced in to protect it from browsing by game (in particular fallow deer). Before the action with many volunteers, there was exciting information, e.g. on the FFH area as a whole, the topic of wildcats, difficulties of natural regeneration by land riding grass, to learn.
